Our team took part in advanced implementation works of the SAP RE-FX and FI component extension, which deals with share classes. This was a complicated process because share classes refer to different types of shares or mutual fund units (we distinguish between units of type A, B, C). Each of these types differs, among others, by the amount of fees charged, the minimum amount of investment or the allocation of profits. Of course, all the basic data was necessary for the correct functioning of the implemented functionality.The flexibility of the SAP system has allowed the creation of a proprietary set of applications that determines the current daily balance of assets and liabilities, gains and losses for objects entered into the SAP RE-FX module. All values are calculated on the basis of key information available to investors, i.e. our clients. Determining the daily values allows to provide the value of a share in investment funds. This value is calculated on the basis of the share price, usually calculated for each trading day and the issue mark-up, which is calculated once to cover sales and administration costs. The amount of the issue mark-up reduces profit, which means that this is an important factor affecting the return on investment funds.<\/p>\n
